“Belavia” and “AZAL” start sharing Minsk-Baku airline

The national airline companies of the Republic of Belarus “Belavia” and of Azerbaijan “AZAL” have signed a code-sharing on cooperative exploitation of the Minsk-Baku airline. From February, 6th 2010 they start joined flights. “Belavia” has been the only operator before that.
Within the framework of the agreement “Belavia” will be the operator and “AZAL” will be its marketing partner. Herewith, there will be no changes introduced into the winter flights timetable. With the beginning of summer season flight frequency will be increased up to three times per week. According to the winter timetable 2010/2011 “Belavia” flies Minsk-Baku-Minsk directly two times a week, every Thursday and Sunday. Flight duration is 3 hours 25 minutes.

Joining potential of the two companies creates extra opportunities for the customers of both the airline carriers to use connection flights through Minsk and Baku.
