Icelandair Group Traffic Data September 2013

The Company carried over 215 thousand passengers on international flights in September. The number of passengers was up by 9% as compared to September last year. The capacity increase totalled 15% between years. The passenger load factor was 78.1% compared to 81.1% at the same time last year. The number of passengers on the Trans-Atlantic market increased the most or by 15.4%. Passengers on this market were 51% of total passengers carried on the Company’s international flights.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 25 thousand in September, which is 13% decrease from September last year. The capacity was decreased by 14% compared to September 2012. The load factor was 71.2%, increasing by 1.2 percentage points from last year. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 7% between years. Cargo transport increased by 9% year-on-year. The number of available room nights at our Hotels increased by 3% compared to previous year. The room utilization was 69.8%, compared to 76.5% in September last year.
