ABERDEEN - DUBLIN ROUTE TO CLOSE FROM 29TH OCT

Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline, today (13th Sept) announced that it will close its Dublin-Aberdeen route from 29th October after the BAA monopoly refused to extend its low cost deal on Ryanair’s one remaining Aberdeen route to/from Dublin.

Ryanair regrets that the high cost BAA monopoly at Aberdeen has refused to extend this low cost deal, or match the competitive cost agreements available to Ryanair at many other UK and European airports. Ryanair’s last Aberdeen – Dublin flight will depart at 1400hrs on 28th Oct. Any passengers with bookings after that date will receive automatic refunds.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:

“Ryanair regrets the forced closure of its one remaining Aberdeen (Dublin) route, after the BAA refused an extension to our low cost deal from 29th October and failed to match the competitive cost deals which are available to Ryanair from other UK and European airports.

Ryanair’s last Aberdeen – Dublin flight will depart on 28th October, and any passengers who are booked to travel after this date will receive a full refund.”
