AEI Delivers 400th Freighter Conversion

Miami, Florida – December 15th, 2014 – Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is proud to announce that the company has reached a major milestone by delivering its 400th conversion. The 11 pallet position B737-400SF (MSN 25105) was converted at Commercial Jet’s facility in Miami, Florida and after a successful test flight, painted at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, Alabama facility.

AEI President, Roy Sandri said, “Today marks a significant point in AEI’s history.” He acknowledged, “The dedication and hard work demonstrated by all of the AEI team members, along with that of our AEI Conversion Center partners, is precisely why AEI continues to be the most trusted name in the passenger to freighter conversion business.”

The aircraft is owned by Vx Capital Partners and will be operated by Liege, Belgium based TNT Airways.

AEI Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Robert Convey said, “We are delighted that our long term customer, Vx Capital, can join with us in celebrating this achievement.”

In 2014 alone, AEI has successfully re-delivered 26 conversions to customers around the world and currently has an additional 10 conversions undergoing modification.

AEI has also announced that it will be offering its customers the new eight pallet CRJ200 SF freighter conversion in the second half of 2015, followed by the twelve pallet B737-800SF conversion in 2017.
