Aer Lingus announces Directorate Change

Dublin & London, 7 January 2015: Further to its announcement of 18 July 2014 (Aer Lingus Announces that Chief Executive Officer will Step Down in May 2015),Aer Lingus Group plc (the “Company”) hereby notifies the market that the Company and Christoph Mueller, its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), have agreed that Mr Mueller will step down as CEO and executive director on 28 February 2015, rather than in May 2015 as previously announced.

Mr Colm Barrington, Chairman of the Board, will, with immediate effect and until a new CEO has been appointed, assume executive responsibility for strategic matters (working with the existing Executive Management Team with responsibilities in this area and with the Board). Mr. Barrington will (if required) assume full executive responsibility for the Group from 1 March 2015, pending the new CEO’s start date. Mr. Mueller will continue as CEO working with the Board and Executive Management Team in the period to 28 February 2015 to ensure a seamless and successful transition.
