Aer Lingus Group plc: Traffic Statistics – December 2013

Dublin & London, 7 January 2014: Aer Lingus Group plc (“Aer Lingus”), today announced traffic statistics for the month of December 2013.

Aer Lingus mainline’s flown passenger load factor in December 2013 increased by 3.0 points on December 2012 to 73.9%. Short haul flown load factor was 68.3%, an increase of 1.7 points on December 2012, with capacity decreasing 5.1%. Long haul flown load factor was 82.0%, an increase of 4.3 points on December 2012, with capacity increasing 4.9% on prior year.

Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, were 733,000 in December 2013 compared to 734,000 in December 2012.

Short haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in December 2013 were 648,000, a decrease of 1.5% on December 2012, while long haul flown passengers in December 2013 were 85,000, an increase of 11.8% on December 2012.
