Aer Lingus Group plc: Traffic Statistics – October 2013

Dublin & London, 5 November 2013: Aer Lingus Group plc (“Aer Lingus”), today announced traffic statistics for the month of October 2013.

Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, decreased by 0.5% to 957,000 in October 2013 compared to October 2012.

Short haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in October 2013 were 857,000, a decrease of 2.2% on October 2012, while long haul flown passengers in October 2013 were 100,000, an increase of 16.3% on October 2012.

Aer Lingus mainline’s flown passenger load factor in October 2013 decreased by 2.0 points on October 2012 to 77.2%. Short haul flown load factor was 75.4%, a decrease of 2.0 points on October 2012, with capacity decreasing by 4.3%. Long haul flown load factor was 80.3%, a decrease of 2.7 points on October 2012, with capacity increasing by 19.9% on prior year.
