Aer Lingus Group Traffic Statistics – July 2012

Dublin & London, 7 August 2012: Aer Lingus Group plc (“Aer Lingus”), today announced traffic statistics for the month of July 2012.

Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, increased by 2.1% in July 2012 compared to July 2011.

Aer Lingus mainline’s flown passenger load factor in July 2012 increased by 2.1 points on July 2011 to 86.6%. Short haul flown load factor was 85.1%, an increase of 2.4 points on July 2011, with capacity decreasing by 1.9%. Long haul flown load factor was 89.9%, an increase of 1.5 points on July 2011, with capacity in line with prior year.

Aer Lingus mainline’s total flown passenger numbers in July 2012 were 1,004,000, a decrease of 0.7% compared to July 2011. Short haul flown passengers in July 2012 were 905,000, a decrease of 1.0% on July 2011, while long haul flown passengers in July 2012 were 99,000, an increase of 2.0% on July 2011.

Aer Lingus Regional’s total flown passenger numbers in July 2012 were 105,000, an increase of 40.0% compared to July 2011.
