Aer Lingus: March 2014 Traffic Statistics

Aer Lingus Group plc has announced traffic statistics for the month of March 2014. Compared to the prior year, March 2014 traffic was adversely affected by the timing of Easter which fell in March in 2013 but has moved to April for 2014.

  • Total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional scheduled flights, was down 5.6% to 797,000 passengers compared to 844,000 in March 2013
  • Aer Lingus short haul passengers decreased by 6.8% from 674,000 to 628,000, while long haul passenger numbers were down 9.6% to 75,000 in March 2014.
  • The overall passenger load factor in March 2014 was 74.7% compared to 79.9% for the same month in 2013.
