Aer Lingus passenger numbers up 6.2% in July

Aer Lingus Group plc has announced traffic statistics for July 2014.

- Total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional, was up 6.2%, compared to July 2013, to 1.212 million passengers.

- Aer Lingus long haul passengers increased by 22.4% from 116,000 to 142,000, while short haul passenger numbers were up 2.1% to 928,000.

- The overall passenger load factor for the month was 87.3% compared to 87.9% in July 2013

- Total passenger numbers for 2014 year to date now stand at 6.446 million, up 3.9% on the previous year.
