Aer Lingus: Traffic Statistics for September 2013

Dublin & London, 4 October 2013: Aer Lingus Group plc (“Aer Lingus”), today announced traffic statistics for the month of September 2013.

Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, decreased by 2.9% to 989,000 in September 2013 compared to September 2012.

Short haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in September 2013 were 881,000, a decrease of 4.4% on September 2012, while long haul flown passengers in September 2013 were 108,000, an increase of 11.3% on September 2012.

Aer Lingus mainline’s flown passenger load factor in September 2013 decreased by 2.7 points on September 2012 to 81.7%. Short haul flown load factor was 77.7%, a decrease of 3.7 points on September 2012, with capacity decreasing by 4.6%. Long haul flown load factor was 88.7%, a decrease of 2.0 points on September 2012, with capacity increasing by 14.7% on prior year.
