Moscow, 12 May 2014 — Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) has taken delivery of its fifth Boeing B737-800 Next Generation. The plane has been named in honour of the Russian writer and public figure Konstantin Simonov.
The aircraft can accommodate 158 passengers in a spacious dual-class configuration (20 seats in business with personal monitors for viewing media content, and 138 in economy). All B737 aircraft are delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturer.
The Boeing B737NG is one of the world’s most popular single-aisle passenger jet aircraft. It meets the highest reliability, safety and comfort standards and is considered one of the best aircraft available for medium-range flights.
