March 24, 2011, Moscow.– JSC ‘Aeroflot – Russian Airlines’ summed up results for February and 2 months of 2011.
In February 2011the passenger turnover of the company went up by 21.2% against the same period a year ago and totaled in 2,702.3 mln passenger-kilometres. The highest growth (+24.0%) is detected at international flights with the passenger turnover making 1,920.2 mln passenger-kilometres. The domestic traffic turnover reached 782.1 mln passenger-kilometres which is +14.8% if compared to same period in 2010.
Passenger traffic improved by 20.2% coming to 870.6 ths passengers. The international traffic rose by 21.1% (plus 95.9 ths passengers) hitting 550.7 ths passengers. The domestic lines served 319.9 ths passengers which is 18.7% more (50.4 ths passengers) against 2010. The seat load factor in February reached 74.4% that 1.6 percent point higher than a year ago. The commercial neared 60.3% that is + 1.0 percent compare to 2010.
Mail-cargo trafficdemonstrated 35.5% rose against the 2010 parameter and equaled 2,958.9 tonnes. The tones/kilometers rate lifted by 21.2% (in comparison with February 2010 and totaled in 17,713 ths tones-kilometres.
The results for 2 months of 2011show that Aeroflot’s passenger turnover was 1,783 mln passenger-kilometers, a 20.2% growth compared with the results for the same period of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 18.2% to become 1,783,000 passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 73.1%, a 1.2 percentage points growth compared to the previous year. The commercial load was 58.5%, a 1.1 percentage points growth as compared to the previous year.
