Aeroflot traffic and capacity statistics for August and 8 Month of 2011

September 29, 2011, ??.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for August and 8 months of 2011.

In August 2011passenger turnover of the company went up by 20.3% against the same period in 2010 and totaled 4,366.2 mln passenger-kilometers. The highest growth (+21.3%) is detected at international flights with the revenue passenger traffic made 2,911.6 mln passenger-kilometers. The domestic passenger turnover reached 1,454.6 mln passenger-kilometers which is 18.4% more if compared to August 2010.

Seat load factor came up by 1.2 p.p. and amounted to 84.6%.

Total passenger traffic improved by 24.9% coming to 1,468.3 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 21.3% (158.6 ths passengers) hitting 902.1 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 566.2 ths which is 31.1% more (134.3 ths passengers) against August 2010.

Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 13,286.8 tonne which is 0.9 p.p. (+115.5 tonne) more compared to August 2010.

The results for 8 months of 2011 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 27,577.1 mln passenger-kilometers, that is 20.3% (4,645.0 mln pkm) growth compared with the results for the same period of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 23.0% (1,716.4 ths passengers) to become 9,177.3 ths passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 78.0%, a 0.4 percentage points growth compared to the same period of the previous year.
