Aerolíneas Argentinas and TAME - agreement of understanding

Aerolíneas Argentinas and Equator´s Airline –TAME EP – have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to explore opportunities of cooperation in many commercial and operating areas.

The main purpose is to establish a close collaboration between both airlines to achieve understandings in subjects as web complementation, Shared Code, Frequent Flyers Programs, sales and distribution thereof, etc. could be.

Said memorandum also contemplates a mutual agreement of cooperation in areas where opportunities of synergy could exist, as in the case of pilots training, aircrafts maintenance and improvements in the practice of the technological systems for the information.

That memorandum has been signed by Aerolíneas Argentinas President, Dr. Mariano Recalde, and TAME EP General Manager, Mr. Rafael Farías Pontón.

Dr. Recalde declared that this agreement is a motive of pride and happiness which shows the integrated actions of two airlines and of two countries that have a lot in common “with an increasingly stronger UNASUR, two state airlines unite themselves in an encouraging Latin American context.”

Mr. Farías Pontón, on his part, shared Dr. Recalde words and added that: “the state airlines are the ones which guarantee the real connectivity. The close relationship between both countries will help to stimulate the air traffic; there exist great working opportunities jointly”.
