Aerolineas Argentinas anticipates budget cut

The budget bill approved by the Nations Congress foresees items to cover operating expenses and investments for Aerolineas Argentinas 2,778 million pesos, which implies a reduction compared with the exercise of the year in course, which is 3.118 million.

The decreasing on the contributions of the national State for Aerolineas and Austral are the result of a projection that already had been taking place since the middle of this year when, in the second quarter, the company requested the Government of a 30 percent reduction in the allocation of its budget items.

The budget reduction was made possible by the increase in passengers carried, that this year will reach the 8.4 million against 7 million in 2012, and that is reflected in the increase of passenger sales, which in last September was a record, surpassing the 182 million dollars – 36.9% more than the same month of last year – and to the optimization of operations product of the acquisition of new aircraft and the increase to different destinations.
