Aerolineas Argentinas will begin to operate flights from the new terminal at (Ezeiza) Ministro Pistarini International Airport on Thursday July 14. The first flight will be AR 1304 to Miami, scheduled to depart at 3:05 AM.
The check-in counters will be open as of midnight tonight.
Terminal “C” was inaugurated by President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on July 9th and baptized with the name “Mercedes Sosa”. Aerolineas Argentinas’ international, regional and domestic flight will all operate from this terminal.
Walking through the new facilities, the President of Aerolineas Argentinas, Mariano Recalde said “it is a luxury that we can give the Argentine people. Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 has made a huge investment and Aerolineas Argentinas as the main airline in Argentina and main client at the airport will have the possibility of being the only airline in terminal “C”.
The new terminal which will be used daily by 3,000 passengers has 20 check-in positions, 8 jet-ways, 12 immigration positions, 2,500 parking places and 600 seats in the waiting area. So, Aerolineas Argentina will be able to provide better service to its passengers that arrive at and depart from Ezeiza International Airport.
Terminal “C” also has an exclusive VIP lounge, called “Salon Condor”, especially designed to meet the requirements determined by the Sky Team Alliance, of which Aerolineas Argentinas is becoming a member. The VIP salon will not only be used by Aerolineas Argentinas’ passengers but also by the passengers on all airlines in the alliance.
The “Salon Condor” is 1804 square feet and large enough to seat 140 passengers. There is a room for resting with comfortable chairs, a workroom with wi-fi, satellite TV, monitors with flight information a snack bar, a place to leave ones luggage, an area called “kids club” and restrooms for handicapped passengers.
