Aerolíneas Argentinas announces daily non-stop flights between Buenos Aires and Brasilia starting from August 1, thus becoming the first airline to offer non-stop commercial flights between the capital cities of the two largest countries in South America.
Flight AR 2268 will take passengers from Buenos Aires to Brasilia, leaving Ezeiza everyday at 9.45 p.m. arriving at Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport at 01.15 am, while on the return, AR 2269 will depart at 01.55 and land at 05.45 a.m.
Brasilia, the federal capital of Brazil with a population of 2.5 million people, is an important market that Aerolíneas adds to its traditional tourist destinations. Years ago, Varig used to fly between Buenos Aires and Brasilia, but with a stop in Porto Alegre.
Brasilia now becomes Aerolíneas’ sixth destination in Brazil apart from Río de Janeiro, San Pablo, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte and Florianópolis (only in peak season), and Aerolíneas turns into the first airline to have more destinations and non-stop frights to MERCOSUR countries.
Besides, Aerolíneas Argentinas offers “Ezeiza Hub” to the passengers (connections with international, regional and domestic flights) and a free terminal transfer bus service that operates between the international and the domestic airport to those passengers coming from the provinces.
