AFI KLM E&M To Provide E-Jet Component Support For KLM Cityhopper

Paris, Amstelveen, 20 December 2013 – AFI KLM E&M has signed a long-term agreement with KLM Cityhopper covering component support for the Dutch carrier’s fleet of Embraer 190s, which currently numbers 22 aircraft and will reach 28 in 2014. The support deal includes repairs combined with access to the spares pool and the supply of a Main Base Kit to maximize component availability for KLM Cityhopper jets.

Reliable alternative to the manufacturer services
The combined AFI KLM E&M-Spairliners component support offering provides guarantees in terms of technical service levels and costs that make it a robust alternative to the manufacturer services. To date, Spairliners has just under a dozen client regional airlines, offering access to close to 1,100 part numbers, and has built up extensive know-how and expertise with E-Jet family components. Boet Kreiken, Managing Director of KLM Cityhopper, said: “We have complete confidence in AFI KLM E&M’s ability to meet our specific needs and deliver the required performance in terms of logistics, availability and quality.” Franck Terner, Executive Vice President AIR FRANCE KLM Engineering & Maintenance, said: "It is extremely satisfying to be stepping up our cooperation with KLM Cityhopper, one of the partner airlines operating within the AIR FRANCE KLM group network. Our two groups work together efficiently and harmoniously, enabling us to provide the most appropriate solutions for KLM Cityhopper.
