AFRIQIYAH AIRWAYS Extends A330 Maintenance Contract With AFI KLM E&M

Paris, Amstelveen, 15 May 2014 – Afriqiyah Airways has just added a third aircraft to its contract with AFI KLM E&M for the Libyan company’s A330s. A “total care” contract already included engine and component support, as well as maintenance checks for all aircraft of the Libyan fleet.

Proven quality of service
During the Libyan events of 2011, AFI KLM E&M froze the existing contract without demanding compensation. An attitude that has made the difference as well as satisfaction on the high quality on performance and services offered by AFI KLM E&M was a decisive factor for Afriqiyah Airways to extend their contract with AFI KLM E&M.

According to Abdunoor Abuhajar, Technical and Engineering Director of Afriqiyah Airways: “We are delighted to benefit from the expertise of AFI KLM E&M and to strengthen our cooperation”.

AFI KLM E&M’s Fabrice Defrance, Senior Vice President Commercial said: “Afriqiyah Airways is a privileged partner. With this contract they confirm a strong sign of trust in AFI KLM E&M. It strengthens our position in the North African region, which is growing rapidly and where many projects are under way”.
