Air Europa has selected AFI KLM E&M to modify the cabin of a recently acquired A330 aircraft

Paris, Amstelveen, 22 March 2011 – Air Europa has selected AFI KLM E&M to modify the cabin of a recently acquired A330 aircraft.

Installation of a business class section
Air Europa has awarded a contract to AFI KLM E&M to modify the full economy class of a recently acquired A330 aircraft into a dual class cabin. The modification involves removing economy class seats in the forward section of the cabin and installing business-class seats in their place.

Following the design phase, AFI KLM E&M will carry out the modification program at its Toulouse facility in March 2011. Jean Jacques Michel, Vice President Aircraft Modification of AFI KLM E&M, said: “This contract once again shows the ability of AFI KLM E&M to design and execute cabin modifications in a short time frame, enabling its customers to adapt to changing market conditions quickly.” Mr. Alberto LinĂ©s, Air Europa Maintenance and Engineering Director adds: “Both Air Europa and AFI KLM E&M have worked hard since day one to achieve our common target. I recognize AFI KLM E&M has proved good response and will keep this project on track.”
