Air France launches its commercial offensive in Marseille

Air France is offering 13 new non-stop routes on departure from Marseille since October 2nd:
- in France: Bâle Mulhouse, Biarritz and Brest;
- in Europe: Athens, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Milan-Malpensa, Moscow and Prague;
- in the Mediterranean: Beirut and Istanbul;
- in Morocco: Casablanca

Air France is also increasing capacity on existing domestic routes, with an increase in the number of seats greater than 80% in some cases.

Attractive fares while preserving Air France services

On departure from Marseille, Air France is offering one-way fares starting at €50 including tax.

On all flights, passengers will benefit from the free Air France services they are used to enjoying, such as checked baggage, newspapers at the boarding gate, a snack and choice of seat etc.

In this way, Air France is preserving the products and services which are its mark of recognition on this market.

A local organization with close to 400 pilots and cabin crew based in Marseille

To improve responsiveness while remaining firmly rooted in local life, the Air France base in Marseille functions like a small business, led by its Regional Director. The airline has changed its organization: each Air France staff member, cabin crew, sales and at the airport, now has a manager in Marseille.

The aim of this new strategy is based on reducing operational costs by about 15%. Among the measures implemented to reduce costs this winter, 130 pilots and 250 cabin crew volunteered to be based in Marseille.

Air France intends to continue this strategy in spring 2012 in Toulouse and Nice and next summer in Bordeaux.
