AIR FRANCE: MONTEVIDEO, PANAMA CITY AND KUALA LUMPUR; NEW DESTINATIONS IN 2014

In 2013, Air France continued to expand its international long-haul network, the largest in the world from Europe, with two new destinations in South America: Montevideo and Panama City.

Since 16 April 2013, Air France has been serving Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, with five weekly flights, as a continuation of the flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Since November, Air France has been serving Panama City, with three weekly flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and thus extending its network to Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Since 22 April, Air France has also been operating a new route to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, served with three weekly flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

This new route is in addition to the 14 weekly frequencies operated by KLM to the Malaysian capital, including seven codeshare flights with Malaysia Airlines.

The A380 flies to new horizons

Since 2 September 2013, the Air France A380 has been serving Shanghai-Pudong airport with three weekly flights.

In addition, as from 30 March 2014 and for the whole summer 2014 season, Air France will fly daily to San Francisco by A380.

2014 will be full of new features for Air France passengers with the launch of four new destinations: Tokyo-Haneda, Jakarta, Stavanger (Norway) and Brasilia as from 30 and 31 March 2014.As from 30 March 2014, Air France will start operating a new service to Tokyo-Haneda, in addition to its flights to Tokyo-Narita. The Company will offer two daily frequencies – a day flight and a night flight – to Tokyo-Haneda and one daily frequency to Tokyo-Narita, offering customers a wider choice of flight schedules to better organize their trip.

Air France will operate a new daily service to Jakarta, also as from 30 March 30 2014, as a continuation of the flight to Singapore, from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. On the inbound and outbound flights, Air France will offer services departing in the evening, enabling passengers to rest during the night.

Brasilia, Air France’s third destination in Brazil, will be served by three weekly frequencies (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

To Stavanger (Norway), Air France will operate two daily flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. This new route is in addition to the services offered by KLM, which operates 5 daily flights to Stavanger from Amsterdam-Schiphol.
