Air France resumes its direct flights to Tokyo

Starting in the evening of 8 April, Air France will resume operation of its direct flights to Tokyo-Narita. Since the beginning of the catastrophic earthquake that hit Japan, flights to Tokyo made an intermediate stopover in Seoul-Incheon as a temporary base for flight crews. Air France did not suspend its service to Japan at any time.

In the very first hours following the catastrophe, Air France teams were fully mobilized to enable a rapid resumption of flights to Tokyo and guarantee the continuous operation of the two daily flights connecting Paris-CDG to the Japanese capital.

Air France operates two daily flights to Tokyo-Narita and one daily flight to Osaka-Kansai.

Facing the catastrophe that has affected inhabitants of North-East Japan, all Air France staff in Tokyo, Roissy and worldwide would like to express their solidarity and support to this country which the airline has served since 1952. The Air France Foundation has launched a fund-raising campaign for Air France KLM staff. The funds collected will be used to finance initiatives in favour of children and young people.
