Air Madagascar appoints new Managing Director

Air Madagascar’s Board of Directors met for an extraordinary meeting on Monday 10th November last. The meeting of the Board of Directors confirmed the appointment of M. Haja Raelison as the airline’s Managing Director. M. Raelison had already been acting Managing Director since 8th July last.

M. Haja Raelison began his career with Air Madagascar in 1994 as a senior management assistant for the Agreement and Scheduling department. From 1994 to 2014 he progressed through the Company. He was the head of the Asian Market Department, the head of the Call Center e-Commerce Department, head of the Passenger Sales Department, head of the Business Intelligence Department Director of Ground Operations, and also Director of operations centres.

Before being appointed Managing Director he had been the Strategy and Planning Director since 2012.

Having successfully completed many large scale projects for the airline, Haja Raelison has now undertaken the priority mission to make Air Madagascar a showcase for the island and to fully assume his role as an exchange facilitator, both between the regions of Madagascar and with the rest of the world

Supported by the majority shareholder and at one with the personnel, the airline’s new Managing Director and its Board of Directors intend to meet the challenge by making the guarantee of the coming seasons their priority and by implementing a strategy to put the company back on track
