In September of this year, Air Moldova airline has carried over 900 transfer passengers from Moscow, Sochi, Kiev and Bucharest to the largest cities in Europe and vice versa, so Chisinau International Airport has become a transit hub.
During the period of January – September 2011 there were transported over 7200 transfer passengers.
The biggest increase in passenger traffic during September at Air Moldova was recorded on following flights: Chisinau-London (103%), Chisinau-Paris (+75%), Chisinau-Wien (64%), Chisinau- Madrid (11%), Chisinau-Bucharest (9).
In September 2011, the volume of cargo and mail transported by Air Moldova consisted 120 tons, indicating an increase of 43% comparing with the similar period of 2010.
