Air Niugini Appoints Acting CEO

Air Niugini wishes to advise the traveling public that the airline Board has confirmed the appointment of Mr Simon Foo, CBE as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) pending permanent appointment.

Mr Foo has replaced Mr Wasantha Kumarasiri who has now taken up his new post as the Managing Director of Independent Public Business Corporation (IPBC).

Mr Foo, however is not new to the airline having worked with Air Niugini previously in senior management roles and also being on the airline board since 2002.

The recruitment of a permanent Air Niugini CEO will be made through an international human resource company which will take at least three months before the new CEO is confirmed.
