airBaltic Cargo Breaks Monthly Record

Riga. Latvian airline airBaltic achieved a new monthly cargo record by carrying 1 006 692 kilograms in December 2012, up + 14% compared to the same month a year ago.

As increasingly more customers took advantage of airBaltic’s transit service via Riga to/ from 60 destinations in Europe, Middle East and Russia/CIS, the airline carried 628 286 kilograms of mail and 378 406 kilograms of cargo, for the first time achieving the 1 million kilogram mark in a single month.

As announced earlier, the airline carried 181,593 passengers in December in its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the year 2012, a total of 3,089,406 passengers were served by airBaltic’s aircraft.
