AirBaltic chief executive and chairman, Martins Gauss, confirmed that investment banks are currently assessing the possibility of listing the airline’s shares on the stock exchange in order to attract new capital.
He did not specify any dates, but said it is up to the shareholders.
In regards to its network, airBaltic now plans to engage in cooperation with other airlines to connect Riga to China, a step back from previous plans of launching its own direct routes. The connection in Riga would also feed in to airBaltic’s network.
The airline plans to carry 4 million passengers in 2018.
