airBaltic to Launch Riga – Bucarest, Romania

Riga. On 3 June 2014, Latvian airline airBaltic will launch a new route between Riga and the Romanian capital of Bucarest. The new four weekly return flights will offer convenient connections between the two capitals and beyond to destinations in the Baltic region, Scandinavia and Russia.

Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “The new route will be of huge benefit to travellers visiting Riga and Bucarest for business or leisure, in addition to offering seamless connections over our hub, particularly in northern Europe.

For the upcoming summer season we will discontinue a number of routes, recording somewhat weaker demand; this move makes aircraft capacity available for the new route.”

airBaltic will fly from Riga to Bucarest four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Passengers will board a Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft for a flight that will last for 2 hours 55 minutes. Return ticket price will start at EUR 179, including airport fees and transaction costs. A full schedule of airBaltic flights can be found on the company’s homepage at www.airBaltic.com
