airBaltic – two crew in cockpit at all times

Flight safety is a top priority for airBaltic. After closely following the Germanwings accident course of events, airBaltic was one of the first airlines in the world to make the decision on Thursday that from now on during a flight two crew must be in the cockpit at all times. As such, if one of the pilots leaves the cockpit, they will be replaced by a member of the cabin crew, thus ensuring that the cockpit is continuously staffed by two people. airBaltic is currently taking all necessary steps to formally implement this decision within the next few hours.

airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these locations, airBaltic offers convenient connections via Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, CIS and the Middle East.
