airberlin: More passengers and increased capacity utilization in July

In July 2011, airberlin welcomed 3,809,401 guests on board, i.e. 2.9 percent more than in the corresponding month of the previous year (July 2010: 3,700,971 passengers). Fleet capacity utilization for July increased by 3.3 percentage points, i.e. from 81.2 to 84.5 percent. As compared to July 2010, capacity was reduced by 1.1 percent.

For the period from January to July, a total of 20,232,567 passengers traveled on airberlin’s flight network, i.e. 5.2 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Fleet capacity utilization for the first seven months of the year increased by 3.1 percentage points, i.e. from 73.8 to 76.9 percent. Accumulated capacity increased by 1.1 percent.
