Airbus is pursuing negotiations for the sale of its subsidiary CIMPA SAS with the Sopra Steria group, a European player in the digital transformation sector.
The decision to sell Cimpa stems from Airbus’ detailed portfolio review, and enters into the framework of its strategic plan aiming to refocus on its core aeronautical activities.
With this in mind, Airbus has been seeking a partner that would enable Cimpa to pursue its long-term development and market diversification.
Airbus will now discuss the terms and conditions of this sale with Sopra Steria in the coming weeks, and CIMPA SAS will start an information and consultation procedure with the works council as required by law.
