Airclaims is delighted to announce the appointment of two additional Surveyors/Project Managers to the Risk and Asset Management team based in London.
Phil Spurr joins Airclaims from TNT Airways where he was responsible for the UK based line maintenance operation and also ‘Accountable Manager’ to the UK Civil Aviation Authority. He started his career as an engineering apprentice with Rolls Royce before becoming a Technical Support Engineer for what is now Honeywell Aerospace. He joined TNT as an Engine Development Engineer progressing to Powerplant Manager with responsibility for setting up and managing their engine repair centre with a throughput of over 350 engines. He was also the Aircraft Redelivery Manager, project managing the return to lessors of their leased Boeing fleet. Phil remains a current EASA, licenced aircraft engineer and brings over 30 years of aviation experience to the team.
Mark Rogers joins from British Midland International where he was a Senior Licenced Avionic Supervisor managing and certifying maintenance on aircraft types such as the Airbus A320 and A330 series. He started his career in the Royal Air Force as an aircraft engineering technician and maintained a broad range of fixed and rotary wing aircraft types in both Europe and the Far East. Mark moved to Cobham Aviation Services at Bournemouth, progressing to Avionics Manager before joining Airbus in Toulouse as an inspector on their A380 programme. Mark was also a Shift Supervisor with Flybe in Southampton, managing Dash 8 Q400, BAe146/RJ and E195 maintenance. Mark brings over 25 years of project management, avionic installation / conversion and inspection experience to the team.
