Alitalia launches flights from Milan to Warsaw & Prague

Rome – With the commencement of the summer 2014 schedules, Alitalia will launch two new direct international services from Milan Linate to Warsaw and Prague.

Tickets for these new flights are already on sale and can be purchased online via the Alitalia.com website or by calling the Alitalia call centre on 89.20.10 or via travel agents.

The introduction of the new flights to the two eastern European cities, adding to the Milan Linate – Vienna service which commenced in October 2013 – further strengthens Alitalia’s connections from Milan’s ‘city airport’ to international destinations which, until now, have not been served, and which is part of Alitalia’s strategy to meet the needs of customers from Milan and northern Italy, especially business travellers.

The Milan Linate – Warsaw service will operate 4 times a week from 30th March.

The seasonal service between Milan Linate and Prague will operate 3 times a week from 30 March to 25 October.

Both flights will be operated by new Airbus A320 or A319 aircraft configured in two classes of service, “Ottima” – Alitalia’s business class on international routes and “Classica” Alitalia’s economy class.

During December 2013, Alitalia carried more than 384 thousand passengers to/from Milan Linate, which is an increase of 9.1% compared to December 2012.

From the end of March, Alitalia will serve 12 international destinations from Milan Linate : in addition to Warsaw and Prague, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Bucharest, Frankfurt, London Heathrow, London City Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly and Vienna.

With the new services to Warsaw and Prague, the Alitalia Group is increasing its connections to Poland where Alitalia already has direct services from Rome Fiumicino to Warsaw and Krakow and, in the Czech Republic, where Alitalia has direct services from Rome Fiumicino to Prague and Air One Smart Carrier connects the Czech capital with Venice and Pisa.
