Ameco Beijing completes cabin mods on 10 Boeing 777-200s of Air China

On May 31, 2013, Ameco Beijing completed the cabin upgrade modification on 10 Boeing 777-200s of Air China, marking the end of a 10-month project. Moreover, Ameco also performed cabin modification on 16 Airbus A330-200s, 16 Airbus A321s and 11 Boeing 737-800s for Air China in recent two years.

The upgraded Air China Boeing 777-200s change into three-class configuration with business class, premium economy class and economy class, covering the main working items of business class seat replacement, LCD video monitors installation, new premium economy class, PC power system installation and passenger service unit reconfiguration. LCD video monitor modification program was self-designed by Ameco with CAAC certificate at the end of 2011.

The cabin modification started from mid-July of 2012 at Ameco’s 4-bay hangar. Benefited from the process optimization and the concept on the product oriented management, the turnaround time was shortened by 28% from the third aircraft and then kept a stable level.
