AMES Granted Class 4 Airframe Rating By FAA

Wilmington, OH—February 23, 2015—Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services, Inc. (AMES) announced that it has been granted a Class 4 Airframe Rating by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

This rating gives AMES broad approval to perform maintenance on nearly all commercial aircraft that can be accommodated within its hangar facilities.

“This approval reflects the high level of confidence that FAA regulatory authorities have in our operation,” stated AMES President Brady Templeton. “It also provides us with the flexibility to support our rapidly growing customer base.”

AMES, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATSG), recently expanded its Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations in Wilmington, Ohio, with the opening of a new 100,000 sq. ft. hangar facility able to accommodate aircraft as large as a Boeing 777.
