Atran Takes Delivery of Second AEI B737-400SF 11 Pallet Freighter

MIAMI, FL., — January 22nd, 2013 — Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI), is pleased to announce that ATRAN Cargo Airlines has taken delivery of its second AEI B737-400SF 11 Pallet Configuration Passenger to Freighter Conversion. The aircraft, a high gross weight B737-400 (MSN 28758) was built in 1997 and underwent passenger to freighter modification at AEI’s Authorized Conversion Center, Flightstar Aircraft Services, Inc. which is located in Jacksonville, Florida. The aircraft is being leased to ATRAN Cargo Airlines by Aviation Capital Group (ACG) which is located in Newport Beach California.

Mr. Robert T. Convey, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, stated that “This is the second AEI B737-400SF 11 Pallet Conversion to begin flight operations within Russia. AEI was the first and remains the only 737 conversion provider to be certified in Russia and the CIS.”

AEI’s Russian Certified B737-400SF 11 Pallet Configuration will provide ATRAN with an Ancra equipped Main Deck Cargo Loading System capable of carrying:
Ten 88”x125”x82” or Eight 96”x125”x82” ULD’s in P1-P10 and a 53”x88”x64”high pallet in P11
Total Main Deck container volume of 4,572 FT3, (129M3)
Total Main Deck netted pallet volume of 4,416 FT3, (125M3) (More Main Deck volume than any other B737-400SF conversion)
This unique configuration will allow operators to maximize the interior volume of the B737-400SF by the addition of a tenth ULD position.
