ˇ Need for more flight attendants due to additional Boeing 777
The Austrian Airlines Group is hiring a total of 280 new flight attendants this year, of which 100 jobs have not yet been filled. These new positions are related to the additional Boeing 777 long-haul aircraft which will expand the Austrian Airlines fleet as of summer 2014. “We look forward to receiving many applicants who are just as concerned with the enthusiasm of our customers as we are”, says Vera Renner, Head of Cabin Operations.
The demands made on applicants include a high personal customer and service orientation, a good working knowledge of German and English and a minimum age of 18 years. Moreover, the prospective candidates should have completed their school education, and in the case of male applicants, have also finished their military or alternative service. New dates for the selection process at the Austrian Airlines Training Center at Vienna Airport will take place as of March 2014.
In this case, the employer is Tyrolean Airways, a fully-owned subsidiary of Austrian Airlines, which has been responsible for flight operations since 2012. Flight attendants will be hired either on a seasonal basis for 4-6 months (approx. 40 flight attendants) or for a period of three years with an optional extension. The annual gross salary is EUR 20,748 plus overtime and expenses.
