Avianca Holdings And Its Subsidiaries Carried More Than 2 Million Passengers

· In May 2014, Avianca Holdings and its subsidiaries carried 2,095,202 passengers, an 4.8% increase over the same period in 2013

· From January to May, Avianca Holdings and its subsidiaries carried 10.3 million passengers a 4.5% increase over the same period in 2013

In May, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings transported 2,095,202 passengers, up 4.8% compared to May 2013. Capacity (ASKs), increased by 3.2%m while passenger traffic(RPKs), increased 4.2%. The load factor for the month was 78.2%.

In the first five months of 2014, Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*) affiliated airlines carried 10,347,348 passengers, a 4.5% increase over the same period in 2013. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 5.1% while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (passenger revenue per kilometer flown), increased 3.3%. As a result, the load factor for the year stands at 78%.

Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
In May, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within these markets a total of 1,248,869 travelers, up 5.7% compared to May 2013. Capacity (ASKs) increased 7.7%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 6.1%. As a result, the load factor was 74.2%.

From January through May 2014, the number of passengers carried by the affiliated companies of Avianca Holdings within the domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador was 6,128,522 up 6.5% compared to 2013. Capacity (ASKs) in these markets increased 6.7%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 7.2%. As a result, the load factor was 76.8%.

International markets
In May, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 846,333 passengers on international routes, up 3.5% compared to May 2013. Capacity (ASKs) increased 2.0%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) grew about 3.7%. As a result the load factor increased to 79.3%.

From January through May 2014, the number of passengers carried on international routes was 4,218,826, up 1.6% compared to the same period in 2013. Capacity (ASKs) grew 4.6%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 2.4%. As a result, the load factor increased to 78.3%.
