AVIANCA HOLDINGS REPORTS TRAFFIC STATISTICS FOR ITS AIRLINES

In the first seven months of the year, Avianca Holdings S.A. through its operating subsidiaries recorded a 9.0% increase in passengers carried, compared to the same period in 2012.

In July 2013, the airlines affiliated with the Holding transported 2.2 million passengers.

Between January and July, Avianca Holdings S.A. (BVC: PFAVH) (*) affiliated airlines carried 14,142,641 passengers, a 9.0% increase over the same period in 2012. Capacity, measured in ASK’s (available seat kilometers), increased 6.9% while passenger traffic, measured in RPK´s (passenger revenue per kilometer flown), increased 8.5%, as a result the load factor for the month increased to 80.2%.

In July, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings transported 2,218,324 passengers, up 7.3% compared to July 2012. Capacity, measured in ASK’s (available seat kilometers), increased 6.6% while passenger traffic, measured in RPK´s (passenger revenue per kilometer flown), increased 8.2%. The load factor for the month was 83.9%.

Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
From January through July 2013, the number of passengers carried by the affiliated companies of Avianca Holdings within the domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador was 8,208,561 up 10.8% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) in these markets increased 17.1%, while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 13.0%, as a result the load factor was 76.8%.

In July, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within these markets a total of 1,273,252 travelers, up 9.5% compared to July 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 16.6%, while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 10.4%, as a result the load factor was 78.1%.

International markets
From January through July 2013, the number of passengers carried on international routes was 5,934,080, up 6.5% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) grew 4.5% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 7.4%, as a result the load factor increased to 81.1%.

In July, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 945,072 passengers on international routes, up 4.5% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK) increased 4.3% while passenger traffic (RPK) grew 7.7%, as a result the load factor climbed to 85.4%.
