Avianor to help Lufthansa recycle used aircraft seats in the American market.

The current upgrade program at Lufthansa will make over 9,000 seats available from Airbus A320, A319 and A321 aircraft. In addition, seats from B747, B737 and A330 upgrades will be available in the near future.

Avianor Inc of Mirabel Quebec announced today that it has entered into an exclusive sales agreement with Lufthansa German Airlines. Covering North, Central and South America as well as India, the agreement will allow Avianor to offer a wide range of surplus seats to its clients. Over the past 15 years Avianor has evolved into specialized interior company focusing on commercial aircraft interiors. As part of this strategy, the company deals extensively in the surplus seat market, refurbishing seats removed from airlines or from recycled aircraft, often as part of a fleet upgrade to new technology.

“Partnering with a North American Seat and aircraft refurbishment company such as Avianor, will help us recycle our surplus seats into one of the largest aviation markets in the world” says Mr. Jürgen Rumstig, Manager of Marketing Surplus Seats for Lufthansa German Airlines.

Avianor plans to market the seats to its client base of operators and leasing companies as well having a large inventory of high quality seats will enable it to enter into loan/lease or exchange programs often needed by airlines to better execute upgrade programs.
