Avinco arranges portfolio acquisition for new lessor CWAL

The last of four aircraft was delivered to new Hong-Kong based lessor China World Aviation Leasing (CWAL) late last week. Avinco negotiated and arranged the purchase from GECAS of the four Airbus narrowbodies on behalf of CWAL. The aircraft are on long term leases to Air China (2xA320’s MSNs 3215 and 3221) and Chengdu (2xA319’s MSNs 2762 and 2774). Avinco is managing the leases on behalf of CWAL.

Commenting on the latest transaction, Francois Gautier, founder and CEO of Avinco said “Sourcing aircraft – along with arranging debt, providing ongoing lease management and remarketing services – continues to be a significant part of our business. The acquisition of this small portfolio, which was arranged and managed by Avinco, demonstrates our abilities and infrastructure which we plan to continue offering to various investors”

Avinco is an aircraft trading, remarketing and management firm based in Monaco and Ireland. Over the past three years, Avinco has successfully placed or sourced twelve A320 family aircraft in five separate transactions and is currently working on placing several E190s, one 777-200ER, 6 A320 family aircraft, 2 A330-200s and several A340s.
