AWAS acquires portfolio of ten modern passenger aircraft from GECAS

AWAS announced today that it has acquired a portfolio of ten aircraft from GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS.) All ten modern, passenger aircraft are already on-lease to successful airlines, with three of the airlines joining AWAS as new customers.

Ray Sisson, President & CEO AWAS remarked on the agreement, “We have consistently communicated to the markets that a key growth channel for AWAS is the acquisition of modern aircraft that deliver immediate positive rental revenue to our business. This ten aircraft portfolio is another example of how AWAS’ platform excels at managing significant asset purchases, aircraft types, as well as a broader array of jurisdictions. This deal also allows us to deepen our relationships with current AWAS customers: GOL in Brazil, Lion Air in Indonesia, Philippine Airlines, Skymark in Japan, as well as to begin working to serve the needs of two new successful airlines in key growth geographies: Jetstar Japan, and Juneyeo Airlines in China.”
