AWAS announced today that it has purchased three modern passenger aircraft from another lessor. The A320 is on lease to Aigle Azure, a successful French airline focusing on Mediterranean and Northern African routes for more than 60 years, one 737-800 is on lease to IZair, a Turkish low cost carrier operating flights on behalf of its shareholder Pegasus Airlines, and the second 737-800 is on lease to Nok Air in Thailand, specializing in Thai regional and Myanmar destinations.
Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS, stated, “We are very pleased to welcome Aigle Azur, Nok Air and IZair as new AWAS customers today. The acquisition of highly desirable aircraft on lease to successful airlines is a key pillar of AWAS’ growth strategy.”
