AWAS announces new integrated leadership structure to best position the company for its next phase of planned growth

AWAS announced today that Karl Griffin has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Karl joined AWAS in March 2007 as Chief Technical Officer and has over 22 years experience in the aviation industry. Prior to joining AWAS, Karl was Chief Technical Officer with CIT Aerospace International. Karl will be responsible for Technical Asset Management, Legal, IT and Process Improvement functions.

AWAS also announced that Daniel Bunyan has been appointed to the position of Chief Investment Officer. Daniel joined AWAS in October 2010 as Head of Portfolio Management and has over 15 years experience in the aviation industry. He is a former partner in the Aviation Practice of Oliver Wyman where he helped airlines reduce costs and improve operations. Daniel will be responsible for Portfolio Management, Strategy and Risk Management functions.

Both of these new positions will report directly to AWAS President & CEO Raymond Sisson.
