AWAS delivers Airbus A320-200 to Royal Jordanian

Dublin based aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that it has delivered a new Airbus A320-200 aircraft to Royal Jordanian. The placement is part of Royal Jordanian’s major fleet renewal programme, to offer its customers superior comfort while driving enhanced efficiencies across its network. This first A320 will be followed by three additional A320s, then two A321s and, finally, an additional A320 for a total of seven new A320 family aircraft.

“The delivery of this first new aircraft from our extensive order with AWAS demonstrates the successful implementation of our planned modernisation and route expansion programme,” said Mr. Hussein H. Dabbas, President & CEO of Royal Jordanian. “AWAS provides Royal Jordanian the flexibility to tailor our fleet to the evolving needs of the market.”

This new Royal Jordanian aircraft introduces new amenities to improve on board passenger comfort and convenience, such as an enhanced entertainment system with more efficient technical features and a wider array of media options.
