AWAS Delivers Second Boeing 737-800 to Solaseed Airline of Japan

Dublin based aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that it has delivered a Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft to Solaseed, the established Japanese airline formerly known as Skynet Asia. This is the second 737-800 delivery from AWAS to Solaseed. This aircraft will be the twelfth in their fleet, and their second 737NG as they transition to an all modern 737-800 fleet.

This second B737-800 airplane is planned to serve the Haneda to Kyushu route beginning in November as well as Haneda to Miyazaki. Solaseed’s initial 737-800 has been successfully serving Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Kagoshim and Oita destinations.

The fresh pistachio green of Solaseed’s livery symbolizes youth, energy, and represents the beautiful, natural landscape of Kyushu, the island of the airline’s headquarters in Miyazaki.
