AWAS delivers two 737-800 aircraft to new customer Ukraine International Airways

AWAS announced today that it has agreed to lease two 737-800 passenger aircraft to new customer Ukraine International Airways. The aircraft are from AWAS’ existing aircraft portfolio; both aircraft have been successfully delivered to the airline.

Yevgen Treskunov, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development, Ukraine International Airways commented, “We are very pleased to enter into this agreement for the lease of these two modern, capable 737-800 aircraft for delivery into our growing all-737 fleet. We are also pleased to enter into a new business relationship with AWAS, who helped us to identify and select suitable aircraft to meet our defined delivery schedule. It was clear that their team knows the region well, both in history and growth potential.”

Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS stated, “AWAS is proud to add Ukraine International Airways as a new customer. Since 1992 they have had a strong track-record of growth and a progressive business plan as they have evolved into a successful, privately-owned operation.”

Mariyan Adanov, VP Sales AWAS said, “We pride ourselves on understanding the region and being able to craft custom solutions for our airline customers. For Ukraine International Airways, we knew we had to meet several exacting specification requirements and be able to deliver the aircraft to meet the airline’s need for near- term expansion. We are very proud to be selected by UIA and to have them as a new customer.”
