Dublin based aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that it has entered into a purchase and leaseback transaction for one new Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft with airberlin. The aircraft was previously ordered directly from the manufacturer by the airline.
The aircraft will deliver from Boeing in mid-2013 and will be placed on long-term lease from AWAS to the airline.
Founded in 1979, airberlin is one of Europe’s leading airlines offering 170 destinations in 40 countries and award-winning service.
